Support Our Mission by Donating Today!

At Rising From Shadows Foundation, we believe every survivor of childhood abuse and neglect deserves hope, healing, and a chance to rebuild. Our mission is to empower survivors through confidential resources, trauma-informed mentoring, advocacy, and life-changing referrals. But to take our first critical steps forward, we need your help. We are seeking 25+ acres of land in donation and financial donations to begin building our juvenile residential facility.

A residential facility is more than just a location—it’s a safe haven where survivors can find compassion, confidentiality, and community. It’s a place where mentoring and support groups can meet in privacy, where advocacy efforts can be coordinated, and where hope can take root. With your support, we’ll also be able to launch our advocacy initiatives: working directly with lawmakers, raising public awareness, and helping to change the laws and systems that impact survivors every day.

Help Us Build a Sanctuary of Healing for Abused and Neglected Children

Your support will directly fund the creation of Better Futures Ranch—a trauma-informed residential campus offering safety, therapy, education, and hope to children who need it most. Every donation brings us closer to opening our doors and transforming lives.

Why give?

  • ✽ Therapy

Providing one person with a year of therapy costs on average $6000. Your donation can help us give the gift of mental health.

  • ✽Mentoring

It all begins with a dream. Every child has one. Our mentoring program averages $6000 per year per person. This provides an opportunity to experience sports, theatre and events with a mentor.

  • ✽ Residential/ Shelter

When home becomes unsafe, the street is no place for kids. We will build a residential facility for both short- and long-term placements, as well as a shelter facility to get Ohio kids off the streets.

  • ✽ Legal Help

When a survivor has the strength and courage to face their abuser, money should never stand in their way. We allocate up to $10,000 per person for legal costs.
